Following a personal or professional Life Event/Change in circumstance, you may be entitled to request a selection window, if this is something your benefits platform offers access to.
In order to request a Life event/Change in Circumstance window, here are some steps you need to follow:
1. Log in to your benefits account.
2. Go to your profile icon, on the right-hand side of the page, and click on "Life event"/"Change in Circumstance".
3. You will see a list of all available Life Event Windows that you can request directly on the site.
4. Choose the relevant one and insert the event date. If you got married, for example, please insert your marriage date.
Important:
- You cannot request a benefit selection window for an event that has not happened yet.
- Sometimes there is a deadline you must comply with (based on the benefit policies) for the time frame in which you can request the window (it could be requested within 30 days or 60 days since the event date). If you input a date which does not comply with the requirements, the system will not allow you to request the window.
5. Select the enrolment period during which the window should open on your account.
Once the window is requested, its effective date will be visible on your benefits account.
6. Click "Save".
7. A message will be displayed on the site to confirm whether the benefit selection window has been automatically approved or requires further admin approval (pending).
If the request requires approval from an administrator, you will be notified via e-mail once this has been granted and when the window will open.
8. Once the benefit selection window is open, do not forget to log in, review and amend your benefits.
Things to consider:
- The enrolment period dates depend on what has been agreed by your company. The benefit selection window will not open prior to that enrolment period.
- You will only have access to certain benefits that are applicable for your Life Event/Change in Circumstance. You will be able to see what benefits are available for selection once the window has opened.
- If you cannot make a request for a Life Event window based on the instructions in this article, it means that your company might have a different process for allocating these. For further support, please contact our Helpdesk team.
- In case you missed the Life Event window, you will only be able to request the same window if you go through another qualifying lifestyle event in the future.
